You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the PWO/DEPUTY PW OFFR NSA HAMPTON ROADS, FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION (PRF1) of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will coordinate all maintenance services and sustainment efforts for assigned utilities. You will coordinate work of and between government forces and contractors to minimize delays that could result in excessive costs or impacts to the government. You will administer the emergency, urgent, and routine calls for assigned utilities. You will impartial fact finding studies for warranty or rework determinations and validates actions taken.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Coordinating maintenance services and facilities sustainment for assigned utilities such as electrical systems up to 34.5KV, steam, water, wastewater and natural gas; 2.) Maintaining utility engineering system components including the machinery, devices and materials used to do so; 3.) Analyzing engineering drawings, sketches, blueprints, specifications, material lists and technical manuals; 4.) Utilizing maintenance tool programs such as MAXIMO, RISK Tool and geographic information systems (GIS)..
