About the Position: Coordinate with vendors and businesses to obtain details on food, supply items and equipment to be ordered. Requires knowledge of foodservice, subsistence, supply systems, and regulations; understanding of organizational needs; and analytical abilities to solve problems.
First shift hours 0630-1530.

Duties
Perform supply functions such as ordering, accepting items and inventory.
Utilize automated systems to calculate inventory value.
Utilize automated systems to order supplies, conduct inventory, calculate inventory value.
Generate reports/action utilizing automated programs.
Adhere to standards of safety and sanitation regulations.
Maintain supply area in an organized, sanitary, and clean manner.
Conduct in-service and on-the job training for supply personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The employee must obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license and any installation and/or DOD requirements for the type vehicle being operated.
- Required to lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Assistance is required for items weighing over 45 pounds.
- Employee may be required to wear and use personal protective equipment as required and provided by the employer.
- Incumbent may be required to report to work during periods of inclement weather.
- A pre-appointment physical may be required.
- A national agency check with inquires (NACI) may be required for this position.
- This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
- This position requires a seasonal influenza vaccine.

Time-in-grade documentation: If you are applying for a higher grade and your SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you meet the one year time-in-grade requirement so you will need to provide an SF-50 which clearly demonstrates you meet the time-in-grade requirements (examples of appropriate SF-50s include Promotions, Within-grade Grade/Range Increases, and SF-50s with an effective date more than one year old).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining supply invoices from vendors to inspect for accuracy on supply orders; arranging vehicle pick up of supplies from local vendors; and/or coordinating with vendors to obtain details on food supply items and equipment that need to be ordered.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
