This National Guard position is for a TITLE 5 SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER (MI 110 WG), Position Description Number T5908800 and is part of the MI 110 Airlift Wing, National Guard.
Duties
***THIS IS A TITLE 5 EXCEPTED NATIONAL GUARD POSITION***
This position is located at an ANG Security Forces Flight.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor and/or flight chief, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Security Forces Flight.
MAJOR DUTIES:
1. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
2. Represents the Security Forces Flight with a variety of functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with the base community.
3. Performs and enforces the full range of police officer duties within the military facility.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Months Required: 18 Months
Experience that provided knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property. Creditable specialized experience may have been gained in work on a police force; through service as a military police officer; in work providing visitor protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other natural resource or recreational environments; in performing criminal investigative duties; or in other work that provided the required knowledge and skills. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
