About the Position: This position is located in the US Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), Brigade (BDE), BDE HQ's Support Element. The purpose of this position is to support the Headquarters Company Commander by performing various military human resources administrative support duties.
Duties
Advise on all matters relating to Information Management system operations.
Submit recommendations for changes through Information Technology acquisition support automated systems.
Integrate information requirements to develop an information architecture plan.
Ensure the life cycle of information is effectively integrated throughout an agency.
Manage budget for all Information Mission Area expenditure activities to ensure accuracy.
Administer the Information Systems Security Program.
Control software project fielding performing analysis to determine personnel requirements for IT support.
Serve as the Information Assurance Manager responsible for physical security.
Confirm web sites are in compliance with all regulations and policies.
Resolve technical problems not covered by established policies.
Establish availability of equipment for distribution based on personnel requirements.
Plans activities to accomplish assigned functional responsibilities as described in mission statements.
Perform a full-range of supervisory duties to maintain all employees receive full equal opportunity.
Maintain management-employee communications.
Preserve record keeping systems to provide required information for production reporting.
Coordinate with other organization supervisors on work related problems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This is a supervisory position and requires a one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 40% of the time.
- This position requires an Information Assurance (IA) certification.
- The incumbent must meet the requirements outlined in the Department of Defense Cyberspace Workforce Management.

Basic Requirements:
Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-11). Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1. Diagnosing the functionality of networks and/or automated systems 2. Evaluating new equipment for technical compatibility. 3. Planning the installation of new operating systems software.
