Duties

You will serve as the Support Services Supervisor in the Manpower and Personnel Department (N1), Command Services Division (N11) at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station, Pacific (NCTAMS PAC). You will serve as the Head of the Command Services Division. You will analyze, plan, organize and execute all support services for NCTAMS PAC/Task Group 1010.3 area of responsibility (AOR). You will develop guidance, implement procedures, and manage NCTAMS PAC Military Personal Awards Program for 1,000 military personnel. You will direct travel accountability for the department, office of the CO and Special Staff Assistants. You will coordinate the revision of the NCTAMS PAC Mission, Task and Function Instruction. You will exercise editorial authority over all official outgoing correspondence and directives. You will formulate and execute the budget for the Special Staff Assistants and Manpower and Personnel Department using Operation and Maintenance, Navy. You will participate in planning special projects such as change of command, special ceremonies, conferences, meetings, etc. You will participate in command/regional studies to facilitate communication, streamline administrative services, study workflow and processes, examine methods and procedures, and analyze cost/benefit of internal vice contracted services.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience receiving, tracking, reviewing, and responding to correspondence in accordance with policy. -Experience formulating and executing the budget to include new equipment, travel, training, contracts and consumable items. -Experience interpreting, modifying, and developing guidelines, procedures, and policy. -Experience developing performance plans, evaluating work performance of employees, recommending hiring, promotions or reassignments, and identify training needs of employees. This position is within the Work Category SUPERVISION AND MANAGEMENT at Work Level FULL PERFORMANCE, Series and Grade GG-0342-12. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
