About the Position: This position is for a Security Assistant with William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Readiness Division, EL Paso, Texas.

Duties

Conducts security briefings and debriefings on foreign travel. Performs tasks associated with safeguarding information and material to ensure the effectiveness of appropriate security systems, devices, procedures and methods. Perform Personnel Security Functions and/or Tasks for Military, Civilian, and Contract Personnel. Assist the Security Manager in a variety of security program functions. Assist with assigned interim clearance for personnel.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Tour of duty may include any shift in a 24-hour period.
• TDY will be required up to 10% of the work schedule.
• This position requires a Secret security clearance.
• One year probation period may be required.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Criminal Justice or Security. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
