You will serve as a Financial Technician in the Officer Traning Command of OFFICER TRAINING COMMAND.

Duties

You will maintenance accounts using a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies and procedures. You will verify and maintain accounts and accounting data, prepare and analyze reports. You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided by the Government. You will determine pay, maintain payroll records and complete reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government. You will answer request and provide advice to employees, supervisors and staff in other financial management series on pay related rules, regulations and procedures. You will establish, maintain, correct and close pay accounts for active reserve, or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants. You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, budget formulation compiling, consolidating, clacking and arranging funding data.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing solutions to financial account issues; 2) Monitoring payment activity (e.g., receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, payment reports) to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures; and 3) Certifying invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy.
