This National Guard position is for a SECURITY SPECIALIST (PROTECTION), Position Description Number D2500P01 and is part of the NJJFHQ, National Guard. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Protection Specialist for the Army National Guard and as a point of contact on criminal intelligence matters. THIS IS AN INDEFINITE POSITION: This position lasts for an unknown or unstated length of time and is not Permanent.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months of experience in the Security career field or intelligence career field: Managing and administering the Intrusion Detection System program Monitoring Intrusion Detection System false and nuisance alarms Coordinating with maintaining materiel management functions Maintaining and using Technical Orders and commercial manuals Assisting in the development of local training for system operators Managing and administering the physical access control systems Working on entry control points and related applications Working with the functional and operational sustainment of data processing programs Writing or maintaining related data processing reports Researching, interpreting, and/or analyzing guidelines Performing administrative office support functions Installing entry controls, visitor center operations, and special functions
