The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.
Serves as a management expert on major corporate or large-scale studies, projects, or team efforts including other subject-matter specialists. Participates in corporate systems design and implementation strategies.
Plans, organizes, and/or leads all phases of multi-functional efforts to evaluate plans and proposals of projects involving broad areas of work processes, operational practices, and integration between various functional areas.
Projects and studies involve providing technical expertise, directing the analysis and evaluation of plans and proposals of projects, providing implementation support, assessing accomplishment of program and management goals and objectives, and prescribing or formulating new/revised policy to ensure accomplishment of the desired results.
Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience utilizing a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative; applying project management principles to programs, projects, and studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and means to improve them. Knowledge of project management to evaluate complex projects and studies and experience identifying problem areas, trends, deficiencies, and other similar factors affecting operations. Experience utilizing budgeting methods and techniques to prepare analyses and estimates, and oral and written communication techniques to present findings, deliver briefings, and negotiate solutions to disputed recommendations.
