About the position: This position will be assigned to the Little Rock AFB - Child Development Center.
This is a regular part time position with minimum 20 hours guaranteed but can be scheduled up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
Physical Effort: Light to moderate physical effort in lifting up to 35 pounds or pushing carts. Constantly standing and walking.
Duties
Sets up food carts and child care room tables with hot and cold foods including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter, and beverages.
Prepares tables and service stands by cleaning and setting up necessary condiments, linens, flatware, and other articles.
Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving by washing, peeling, scraping, and dicing. Cuts and shreds lettuce, slices tomatoes, cuts lemons, prepares butter ships, and opens cans.
Cleans equipment in kitchen and dining area. Washes dishes, pots, pans, glasses, and flatware. Operates mechanical dishwasher. Clears and cleans tables. Sweeps, mops, and waxes floors.
Disposes of food wastes and trash. Moves heavy garbage cans and assists in unloading supply trucks and storing heavy supplies.

Requirements
- This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
- This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain, maintain, and provide evidence of current immunizations this includes annual influenza vaccinations and be free of all communicable diseases.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete assigned training, to include Food Handlers certification, within specified time from date hire or assignment to position.

Qualifying Experience: No prior training or work experience is required. Must be able to follow directions in food preparation and kitchen cleaning and food serving. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
