As a Transportation Operations Specialist (Remarketing), you will be responsible of all aspects of vehicle auction and sales.
Location of position: Office of Fleet Management - Zone 3- Acquisition/Remarketing Branch. The selectee will be required to reside in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Houston, TX or Oklahoma City, OK at time of hire. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
This position has job functions that must be executed within a specific geographic location. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home). Positions include routine telework and remote work arrangements that are geographically specific to: Oklahoma City, OK, San Antonio, TX or Houston, TX. "The duty station will be determined upon selection and will be located within the geographic area described."
Requirements
- US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
- Register with Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959
- Direct Deposit of salary check to financial organization required.

The GS-09 salary range starts at $59,966 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify at the GS-9 level you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience assisting with analyzing program data and providing technical direction in support of a program or project. Such experience must have included the following:
Assisting with analyzing data to identify ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Assisting in troubleshooting problems to increase the effectiveness of program operations.
Assisting in performing contract administration and assessing compliance with contract performance.
Assisting in developing oral and written presentations.
OR
A master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree OR have completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, with a major in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, or other fields related to the position.
OR
A combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
The GS-11 salary range starts at $72,553 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify at the GS-11 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience analyzing program data and providing technical direction in support of remarketing and sales activities. Such experience must have included the following:
Analyzing business-related data to identify ways to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and/or revenue generation.
Assisting in developing and/or troubleshooting problems to increase the effectiveness of program operations.
Assisting with performing contract administration and assessing compliance with contract performance to improve standards and effectiveness.
Developing and conducting oral and written presentations.
OR
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or have successfully completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Your major study must be in one of the following: accounting, business administration, commerce, economics, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.
OR
A combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
