You will serve as a AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST in the Media Production (MP) Department, Video Project Management Division (VPMD), Visual Information Directorate (VID), Naval Medical Leader and Professional Development Command (NMLPDC)of NAVMEDSUP DET BETHESDA MD.

Duties

You will review site survey and approve locations. You will establish long-range shooting schedules involving numerous shooting locales. You will audition, select and rehearse talent, professional and non-professional, in the delivery and desired. You will prepare an operating plan, identifying proposed locales, personnel, equipment requirements, special effects, sets, talent and wardrobe. You will assist in a variety of functions during different phases of a production.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience planning and carrying out the stages necessary for processes, methodologies, personnel, equipment related to audiovisual production. Experience producing, developing and coordinating video crew and talent schedules for audiovisual productions. Experience implementing administrative and logistical arrangements. Experience utilizing an array of used sources of audio-visual talent and special effects, such as casting lists music libraries, stock footage, and post­production services, to acquire the elements needed for a completed audiovisual production. Experience working within program objectives and directing skills to direct the production activities of a small television production crew and cast. Experience operating video cameras, switchers, character-generators, non­linear computer editing systems, lighting equipment and remote controlled cameras. Experience managing the Set-up and operations of audio public address equipment. Education

FOR GS-11: In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
