You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Facility Management Div., Public Works Dept of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Duties

You will diagnose malfunctioning electrical/mechanical facility systems, apparatus, and components. You will inspect facility systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. You will prepare and study technical drawings, specifications, and maps to ensure installation and operations conform to standards and customer/stakeholder requirements. You will manage facility sustainment activities to keep facilities in good working order. You will conduct facility inspections to document facility condition (including participating in Zone Inspections). You will use MAXIMO software to manage facilities.

Requirements

• This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.

Qualifications

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Diagnosing malfunctioning electrical/mechanical facility systems, apparatus, and components; 2) Inspecting facility systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair; 3) Preparing and studying technical drawings, specifications, and maps to ensure installation and operations conform to standards and customer/stakeholder requirements; 4) Managing facility sustainment activities to keep facilities in good working order; 5) Conducting facility inspections to document facility condition (including participating in Zone Inspections).
