You will serve as a WORK/LIFE SPECIALIST in the Fleet and Family Support Program, Family Readiness Division of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY ANDERSEN GUAM.
Duties
You will assess individual and family needs and provide continuing work/life services to eligible populations.
You will provide guidance, advice, and additional referral options to ensure clients have access and assistance in securing cost effective support or direct aid.
You will compile data to document service effectiveness.
You will deliver training and seminars for standard work/life issues and interests.
You will conduct and implement marketing and public relations campaigns to ensure target populations are informed of services and activities.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
- You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, listed in the Education section below, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Assisting with the planning, implementation, administration, and counsel on career, transition, relocation, family, and other work/life services and activities provided to military members, retirees, civilian members, and their families.

Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
- Successfully completed a behavioral or social science degree, or a degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position being filled. OR
- A combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR
- Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
You may also meet the minimum qualifications through education and/or combination of education and experience by satisfying one of the following:
- Possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
- Possess 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
- Possess a LL.B or J.D., if related. D. Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
