Duties

As an advanced trainee this position performs duties of limited scope and complexity in all aspects analytical and evaluative work related to program operations, and management and organizational efficiency and productivity. Assists, coordinates, and monitors administrative modifications and the implementation of organizational requirements. Evaluates, converts, and displays data into meaningful management tools such as but not limited to Microsoft Suite 365: Power BI, Power Automate, Advanced Excel, Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, Teams and ArcGIS Experience Builder app. Communicates with other management analysts on the WE Team and agency to discuss and resolve problems and makes recommendations to increase the effectiveness of the program of work. Assists with the development and implementation of methods and procedures to improve workflow, document processes, eliminate unnecessary tasks, or automated processes. Assists with the development and initiates improvement recommendations for work measurements by determining resource requirements, streamlining, eliminating duplication or developing work measurements standard. Collects, reviews, evaluates, and interprets data for simple to moderate issues.

Requirements

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the eligibility and qualifications requirements as defined below by the closing date of the announcement. Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement: For the GS-07: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service. OR One full year of graduate level education; OR an appropriate combination of graduate level education and specialized experience; OR Superior Academic Achievement (go to this site determine if you are eligible: http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/policy/ApplicationOfStds-04.asp). The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Specialized experience is defined as two or more of the following: As an advanced trainee or support staff, participated in research and conducted segments of operational analysis and/or administrative analytical products, planning, and/or evaluative work within an organization; and/or identified and tracked various resources; and/or assisted in drafting work plans, program studies, reports or other visual products of findings and assisted in an evaluation of current programs; and/or prepared materials for workflow and operational analysis, organization and/or distribution of work, and/or equipment utilization; and/or determined the need for work standards and control systems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
