You will serve as a BIOMEDICAL TECHNICIAN in the Material Management Department of NAVHLTHRSCHCEN SDIEGO.
Duties
You will oversee the evaluation, development, maintenance and coordination of procurement for biomedical equipment.
You will manage and coordinate the equipment management program, to include enforcing established procedures for equipment purchase and inventory tracking of all equipment accounts.
You will serve as the primary technical resource in the design, planning and outfitting of highly sophisticated medical and non-medical equipment.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for the submission of all equipment procurement packages.
You will provide recommendations to management about long-range policies and plans regarding transitioning equipment, accepting new equipment, the technical inspection of all equipment, and disposing unserviceable equipment.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience using the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) System, or similar systems, to track, schedule, and complete required equipment maintenance.
Experience conducting and scheduling preventative/corrective maintenance on medical equipment.
Experience troubleshooting and identifying maintenance issues for biomedical equipment.
Experience interpreting/applying federal, state, and local guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements of biomedical equipment.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
