About the Position: Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Quality Assurance Evaluator for the Fort Huachuca, AZ Food Service contract. Please note: One position may be filled at either location.

Duties

Participates in Food Safety Standard Management for a food service quality assurance program. Assists in setting milestones for meeting Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Quality Assurance and Evaluation program goals. Provides input of the outcome of food service inspections. Prepares appropriate correspondence and recommendations to the Contracting Officer. Maintains funding and inspection records for the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) food program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) travel will be required, up to 5% of the time, to obtain a Contracting Officer Representative certification from the Food Management Assistance Team (FMAT) DA PAM 30-22, TB MED 530.
  • Must be Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certified from the Department of Contracting and on appointment orders. DFARS Part201.602-2.
  • Requires other than normal duty hours to conduct quality assurance evaluations during holiday feedings and meals outside normal duty hours.
  • May require recall. During meal hours outside normal duty hours and weekends.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Verify food service safety standards are in compliance with regulations; (2) Perform food service quality assurance inspections to verify standard guidelines are met. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
