This position is located with the Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) Finance Department on JBLM

Duties
Receives time and attendance records and reviews for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procedures, verifies hours charged and types of special pay authorized for employees covered by a variety of pay categories.
Verifies that all timekeepers within Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) have completed positing of time and attendance data and that certification is completed at the end of the pay period.
Responds to pay inquiries and problems ranging from standard to the most difficult non-standard ones, providing detailed explanations of actions that directly affect employee pay and/or entitlements.
Provides initial and refresher training and assistance to other payroll timekeepers, and interprets payroll regulations as necessary. May be required to process automated requests for personnel actions (RPAs).
Maintains and established filing systems for correspondence, reports, and payroll function files, and manages proper record disposal.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Qualifications
1. Must have semi-independent work experience, which includes the processing of a large automated time and attendance system.
2. Must have demonstrated ability to exercise leadership over a group of individuals.
3. Must have work experience directly related to the duties described above to include knowledge of civilian pay regulations and procedures..
4. Computer knowledge is highly desirable.
Highly Preferred:
1. Knowledge of BlueForce Payroll System
2. Knowledge of the Installation Management Employee Tracking System (IMETS)
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
