You will serve as a IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the G6 of U S MARINE FORCES CYBERSPACE COMMAND.
Duties
You will manage the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise servers and all related computer systems and hardware.
You will oversee and performs installation, configuration, administration and operation on government furnished mobile devices.
You will interpret new or revised command policies and objectives to determine their impact on current systems and future plans.
You will perform routine network configuration management functions.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- Must possess and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance and must obtain and maintain NSA badging for NIPR/SIPR/NSANet accounts.
- A Counterintelligence Polygraph is required, and a non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Failure to retain this level of security clearance and access will be grounds for reassignment, demotion, or removal from the Federal Service.
- This is a Drug Testing Designated Position (TDP). A pre-employment drug test is required, and the position is subject to random drug testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Employee must have a current Comptia Security+ certification.
- This position is not telework eligible.
- This position has been designated as a Cyber Workforce position in the DOD Cyber Workforce Framework role of 451 Systems Security Analyst proficiency level A Intermdeidate.
Qualifications
You are required to have information technology (IT) related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: Evaluates and implements hardware/software capabilities to satisfy emerging IT requirements and trends such as network management, cyber security, cloud computing, virtualization, IT infrastructure, and project management; Investigates and analyzes emerging information technologies and off-the-shelf hardware/software products to identify and recommend those appearing to have good potential for successful application to current and projected operational requirements.

Education
In lieu of the qualifying experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education, as follows:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
