About the Position: This position is located at Whiteman AFB in Johnson, Missouri.

Duties

Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply/equipment transactions and patterns. Retrieves data and uses data to respond to a variety of customer, program review, and vendor inquiries. Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling. Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.

Basic Requirements for Supply Technician (GS-07): Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying medical supply regulations, policies, and procedures; performing research to identify and resolve supply errors; taking inventory; and/or editing requisitions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. If there are no Veterans preference eligible applicants available, non-preference applicants may be considered.
