Duties
Serve as the U.S. Army Cadet Command Brigade Human Resources Assistant (Military) and authority on Cadet/CADRE Personnel actions for the Brigade Commander.
Assist the Brigade Recruiting Operations Officer (ROO) and Nurse in utilizing and running filters from CCIMS to monitor scholarship management and monitor the status of cadet nurses.
Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all Brigade cadet/CADRE actions.
Serve as primary reviewer of Cadet Accessions documents from subordinate units for submission to higher headquarters.
Serve as the Brigade Enrollment Eligibility/Retention Advisor for subordinate SROTC battalions.
Provide staff oversight of and assistance to the Battalion Human Resource Assistants (Military).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 10% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- May require a one-year probationary period.

Review personnel documents for accuracy prior to uploading into an automated personnel systems; Conduct quality control checks of personnel documents to ensure compliance with regulations; Assist with the identification of database discrepancies to resolve issues; Utilize an automated system to prepare complex documents such as correspondence, orders, memoranda, forms, or reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06)

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
