You will serve as the Supply Support On-Site Representative (OSR) in the Strategic Programs Undersea and Unmanned Support Division of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Logistics Center, Keyport Division, Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania (NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA) in Groton, Connecticut.

Duties

You will serve as the On-Site Representative (OSR)/primary liaison between the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Groton, Director NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center Norfolk Groton Detachment and Electric Boat personnel. You will serve as the supply support liaison for all outfitting related activities. You will provide Outfitting, Fitting Out and supply support training to the Supply Officer and supply department personnel upon initial arrival to include Supply Officer required roles and required support key construction milestones. You will support the Crew Supply Officer and Stores Division personnel during key supply department events, including Material load out evolutions (Fitting Out Phase) in accordance with the COLUMBIA Class Outfitting Management Plan (OMP). You will act as the primary POC for COLUMBIA Class submarine supply support material issues from ship delivery until the Obligating Work Limiting Date (OWLD). You will lead/participate in various working groups and meetings.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and implementing (e.g., analyzing) life cycle logistics to ensure supply support and new construction shipbuilding for mission compliance.
