About the Position: Santa Rita is located on the southwest coast of the beautiful island country of Guam. With hills overlooking the Apra Harbor, it's considered one of the best natural ports in the Pacific Ocean, Santa Rita is the newest and smallest village in Guam.
Federal employees in Guam may be entitled to receive a 12.04% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) and a 20% Post Differential Allowance in addition to the base salary.
Duties
Ensure proper employment documentation is filed and maintained in each personnel folder such as: Educator certifications/recertification,SF50s, and transcripts.
Prepare a variety of documents and requests for supplies from oral instructions, hand-written rough drafts, or voice recordings.
Prepare, track, document, and/or file personnel or purchase requests.
Order, maintain, and display regulations, publications and required forms that may have been issued by a variety of sources (i.e., DoD, DoDEA, the Military service(s) represented in the area, or other controlling organizations such as DFAS or OPM).
Respond to letters of inquiry whenever possible, routing information to the Principal and/or Assistant Principal when their personal attention is required.
Manage all records related to school correspondence/mail distribution, and Freedom of Information Act data.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- One year probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: utilizing computers to create documents or generate reports; maintain personnel files; and managing supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of
experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
