About the position: This is a Flexible (Flex) position located at the Pines Golf Course on Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA - Ft Eustis location. Flex positions have no guaranteed hours but can work 0-40 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work.
Duties
Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor golf course. Types of duties include but are not limited to the following: Preparing golf carts for daily play, tournaments, outings and end of day storage. Tows broken down golf carts from course to cart barn for maintenance. Operates and maintains the range ball picker cart for daily usage, preps and restores range for weekly maintenance. Also ensures the common areas of the cart barn clubhouse are clean and presentable to golfing patrons, helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks. May be required to drive vehicles between Outdoor Recreation activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational and golf activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skilled in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. Requires possession of a valid motor vehicle license. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). "This is a drug testing designated position. Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
