This position is part of the Defense Microelectronics Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for performing work in planning for small and large purchases, providing oversight for receiving, transferring, reutilization, repairing, and retiring of various types of property.

Duties

As a Logistics Management Specialist at the NH-0346-2 some of your typical work assignments may include the following: Identifies and presents information on issues and works to provide resolution. Updates and maintains DMEA property and accountability systems of record to include, but are not limited to DPAS, WAWF, ICP, Service now and GSA Drive Thru. Works with DMEA staff providing local agency direction with facilitating the creating, accepting, modifying, and transferring of personal property records in accordance with Department of Defense and DMEA directives. Coordinates activities with support staff, provides responses on problem definitions, policies and procedures and works with identifying, analyzing, evaluating and applying the content of new or modified regulations for projected impact upon DMEA programs. Conducts research, analysis and the collection of key supporting documents that support both property accountability and fiscal audit readiness. Collaborates with colleagues in acquisition for long range logistical requirements and future operational goals. Assists DMEA Component Property Lead in warehouse operations, disposition support and shipping/receiving operations. Provides excellent customer service by identifying issues, resolving deficiencies, and user capabilities and requirements.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH-2, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of general experience equivalent to the NH-I (GS-4) grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communicate effectively orally and in writing. OR B. I have four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR C. I have some general experience as described in A, but less than three years; and I have less than four years of education as described in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 36. Then divide your semester hours of undergraduate education by 30. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. **NOTE: If qualifying based upon education, failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position.

GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
