You will serve as a Material Handler in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE at Gulfport, MS.

Duties

You will perform duties in support of receiving, issuing, inspecting, storing, packing, and moving material to be prepared for shipment. You will receive, unload, and process incoming shipments manually or through an automated system. You will count types and quantities of items during inventories and maintain tally listings during the count. You will keep record of materials or items received or distributed. You will checks lists showing stock identification changes to ensure that the proper items are selected and assembled for issue. You will re-warehouse material in accordance with the master storage plan and use appropriate database tools to document re-warehousing transactions.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator License.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• This is a bargaining unit position.

I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
