About the Position: Serves as the Lead Quality Assurance Specialist and the quality expert for the installation and the lead for safety. Located in Scranton Army Ammunition Plant, Office of the Commander's Representative.

Duties

Leading the day-to-day work of subordinates assigned to the team. Lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization. Perform related advisory duties regarding the quality and safety programs. Provide recommendations and/or alternatives to aid headquarters in making a final decision. Investigate delays and major problem areas to determine causes of same and corrective action required. Monitor contractors compliance with operations and safety programs and the inspection of worksites.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 10% of the time.
  • Position requires a valid driver's license.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.
  • One year probationary period may be required unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
