You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjust short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. You will oversee and ensure that the appropriated security posture is implemented and maintained for command information systems and programs. You will develop and maintain a command cybersecurity program that includes cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives and policies. You will execute the administration of the command Cyber IT/Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) Program. You will review IT and control systems programs to assess overall compliance with cybersecurity plans and policies, and alignment with business and mission requirements.

  • This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
  • Overtime work may occasionally be required to meet mission objectives.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification within 6 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final top secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Risk Management process and project management principles, methods and practices to develop plans and schedules, estimate resource requirements, define milestones and deliverables, and monitor activities, evaluating and reporting on accomplishments; 2) Advising on the interrelationships of multiple IT specialties (e.g., databases, systems, networks, cybersecurity) when considering emerging technologies and their application to the organizations business systems, cybersecurity standards and control systems; 3) Applying Federal, DoD and Agency enterprise cybersecurity tools in conducting certification and accreditation(C&A) activities, tracking Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance, and performing security assessments; and 4) Exhibiting mastery of information assurance and cybersecurity principles and organizational requirements to draft, modify and maintain an organizations core cybersecurity policies.Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
