This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is with US ARMY TANK-AUTOMOTIVE & ARMAMENTS CM, PROG MGR LIGHT ARMORED VEHICLES in WARREN MI.
Duties
Performs maintenance evaluation, maintenance allocation, makes ease-of-maintenance determinations; furnishes technical instructions, rebuild, modifications, deficiency corrections, maintenance in storage and methods of shipment.
Serve as Lead Provisioner for a complex weapon system.
Serves as provisioning representative, in-process reviews, and Logistic Support Analysis Reviews, making recommendations, decisions and commitments relative to program requirements and adequacy of provisioning technical documentation.
Serves as the provisioning specialist for assigned systems to include providing technical expertise and guidance to lower grade provisioning specialists in carrying out their assigned provisioning duties.
Develops, coordinates, and maintains data for establishment of weapon/commodity/end items National Stock Number (NSNs) to ensure the successful introduction and processing of related components and repair parts into the automated database.
Participates in studies for the purpose of improving the maintenance system at all levels.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Selectees must meet the position requirements for Foundational certification in Acquisition Career Life Cycle logistics. Selectee must meet certification requirements within 36 months of entrance on duty.
- This position requires you to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulations, dated 23 March 2006.
- The duties of this position require occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Must sign a Term Statement of Understanding.

Specialized Experience:
In order to qualify for this position based on experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience at the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) level in the Federal Service that includes 1) Administering activities of a system through the equipment life cycle stages; 2) Analyzing data for assigned systems, subsystems or components for equipment accuracy; 3) Providing technical advice for the identification of new or additional repair parts; and 4) Recommending and initiating corrective action.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
