You will serve as a Facilities Equipment & Services Management Specialist in the Corporate Operations Department of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, Washington (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).

Duties

You will develop plans, specifications and programming documents involving minor construction. You will coordinate sustainment, repair and modernization requests relating to equipment and minor facilities construction. You will support furniture and equipment installation projects through coordination of stakeholders and service providers. You will provide technical expertise to both team leads and teammates for the development, implementation and execution phases of managed programs/projects. You will provide liaison and communication with host command and public works office to provide reporting and compliance in accordance with higher level guidance and host region instructions. You will be responsible for the oversight and administration of the Building Manager Program across NUWC Division, Keyport and Detachments.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing plans and specifications involving construction and inspection of facilities to ensure operational efficiency. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with developing plans and specifications involving minor construction and coordinating inspections of facilities to support efficiency of operations. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-11: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D.;
OR
Possession of an LL.M. degree in a field directly related to the position being filled.

GS-09: Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree;
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's degree;
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D., in a field directly related to the position being filled.
