You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the industrial support department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.

Duties

You will assist senior logistics Management Specialist in the development of Logistics support programs for Supervisor of Shipbuilding(SUPSHIP) , which includes support of new constructions You will perform various supply roles including expediter, government commercial purchase card holder and purchasing under micro-threshold You will prepare and maintain records, reconcile reports/data, research and reconcile major discrepancies related to material orders, receipt and invoices

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situation
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing Logistics Management Specialist work that involves planning, coordinating, and/or evaluating the logistical actions required to provide complete shipboard configuration and logistics to support new construction. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Document all purchases placed against the credit card in accordance with regulations; 2) Review the contract to ensure that ILS requirements are specifically addressed, and their accomplishment and associated reports are consistent with established guidelines; 3) Resolve all discrepancies with material orders to include arranging for the replacement or return for credit and erroneous materials; 4) Review program, configuration audits and other programs for assessments of ILS. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-09 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree, LL.B, J.D., or have completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.

GS-09 COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements
