About the Position: This position is located at Naval Branch Health Clinic Dam Neck Directorate of Admin, Patient Administration in Virginia Beach, VA.
The purpose of this position is to perform inventory management functions and maintaining stock records for all supply system material, forecasting stock material requirements and channel of procurement, initiating requisition action as necessary to procure critical materials as required.
Duties
Perform continuous review of all supply function detain order to meet all requirements.
Review of stock levels and requisitioning objectives are mandatory to ensure that authorized funds are not exceeded.
Examine stock status transaction lists to determine the validity of stocking levels to stay within fund restrictions.
Forecasts requirements manually and by inputting data into an automated system.
Maintain special controls for all actions associated with the stock records for alcohol and narcotics.
Assist with maintaining appearance of all medical storeroom areas.
Requirements
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- All healthcare in MTFs will be immunized against the seasonal influenza infection each year unless there is a documented medical or religious reason not to be immunized.
- May be required to work at Branch Clinic Oceana or Tricare Prime Virginia Beach as required to support supply operations within the triad. The incumbent will be responsible for traveling between triad locations.
- A pre-employment physical is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience reviewing stock levels, experience performing monthly purchase card reconciliations, and experience assisting with the distribution of materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
