Serves as the senior technical and confidential advisor to the Director and/or Deputy Director on major program issues. Instructs on technical matters, advises on bargaining unit issues, focuses on meeting deadlines, reviews technical documents, responds to correspondence, and assists in coordination across Aeronautical Information Services, Directorates within Mission Support Services (MSS), and other lines of business within the agency.

Duties

Serves as confidential advisor to the Director and/or Deputy Director on all aspects of program responsibilities to include but not limited to: conducting program studies, potential bargaining unit impacts/issues/resolutions, operating practices, or procedures with a view toward the acceptability within organizational, agency, or national plans. Identifies problems and devises appropriate courses of action to ensure effective follow-through within program responsibilities to accomplish desired improvements.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

  • Successful completion of a security investigation may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-K (FG/GS-15) level, applicants must have at least 52 weeks of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FV-J (FG/GS-14) level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.Specialized Experience: includes experience developing and reviewing aeronautical and air navigation procedures to coordinate and disseminate air navigation publications and advisories.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
