This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Packaging/Federal Reserve Vault and Single Note Inspection Division. As a Materials Handler, you will perform duties associated with shipping, receiving, warehousing, issuing and storage of supplies and equipment using Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) in the production of U.S. Currency and allied support functions.

Duties
As a Materials Handler, you will:
Unload materials with materials handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, clamp trucks, barrel lifts, hand jacks, electric Walkie Power Industrial Trucks and other miscellaneous manual and electric MHE.
Direct the storage of security paper used in the production of currency along with other security items.
Locate and issue items by using the Bureau Enterprise Network (BEN) and comparing identifying information on documents with stock tags, bay markings, or box markings.
Assemble items and move stock for pick-up - staging or storing with proper care to include moving (distribute transport) large quantities of raw materials, hazardous materials, parts, and supplies to production sections or storage areas.
Load designated conveyances and check the conveyance floors and walls for nails, odors, and contamination, and inspect roof for leaks.
