About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance

Duties

Serves as a training instructor, CCAD Certification program manager, acquisition specialist, and curriculum developer for training initiatives related to soldering, welding, and various types of metal processing programs and credentialing. Serves as the CCAD certification program manager, and manager of the solder and welding programs. Primary purpose of this position is design, develop, teach, coordinate, and facilitate education and training initiatives, as related to metal processing technical training needs for the Corpus Christi Army Depot's Workforce Development. Instructs civilian or military mechanics at the helper, intermediate and full journey level grade of multiple aircraft trades and support jobs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a Tier 1 Investigation
  • This position requires a pre-appointment physical examination and meet established requirements.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
  • This position requires approximately 5% of your duty to be performed in Temporary Duty Away (TDY) from your place of work status.
  • Must be able to attain IPC-J-STD-001 CIT certification within 6 months of arrival on duty and maintain thereafter.
  • Must be able to attain IPC-A-610 CIT certification within 6 months of arrival on duty and maintain thereafter.
  • Must be able to attain IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIT certification within 12 months of arrival on duty and maintain thereafter.
  • Must be able to attain IPC-7711/7721 CIT certification within 12 months of arrival on duty and maintain thereafter.
