About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Transportation Division, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Duties

Determine eligibility, entitlements, and options available to personnel traveling on government directed official travel. Review travel orders to determine authority and entitlements identified for the directed travel. Analyze guides/regulations to ensure travel is by the most economical mode, route, and fare that will meet mission requirements. Book flights utilizing the Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES). Review documents and complete passport applications through the Visa Passport Automated System (VPAS).

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain passport New Agent course certification within 180 days of entry into the position and complete refresher course every two years thereafter.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
