You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (MIL) in the Navy Recruiting District of NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT ATLANTA.

Duties

You will make revisions, additions, or deletions as required to maintain personnel files. You will identify gaps or inconsistencies in human resources records. You will monitor personnel actions to ensure completion within designated time frames. You will interview personnel to obtain information required to complete records or correct discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing automated systems to enter information; 2) Establishing forms, records and files in accordance with policies and procedures; and 3) Retrieving data to answer questions, respond to correspondence, or for preparing reports or briefings. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work is sedentary and requires no special physical demands. The employee may do some walking, standing, bending or carrying of light items. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee works in an adequately lighted and ventilated office environment. Observes normal safety precautions.

Education


In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of four full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
