THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a UNIT DEPLOYMENT MANAGER TITLE 32 PERMANENT, Position Description Number D2506000 and is part of the NH 157th Maintenance Group, National Guard.

Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to perform preliminary analysis of long term forecasting of readiness and budgets.
The position is to function as the Unit Deployment Manager to oversee unit deployment activities, ensure personnel readiness, and assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit deployment program. The incumbent provides technical expertise regarding unit deployment activities and provides advice and guidance to personnel and senior leadership. The work requires analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

Qualifications
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
Military Grades: E6 to E7
Compatible Military Assignments: AFSC Immaterial
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 12 months specialized experience, education or training equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07). Must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures.
It is not necessary for applicants to possess the MOS/AFSC listed as compatible to the position in order to apply, however applicant must meet the qualifications for the position. It is applicant's responsibility to acquire a compatible MOS/AFSC within 1 year of appointment. Coordinate with your unit's training representative to determine whether or not you can qualify for a specific MOS/AFSC and/or receive training within the 1 year timeframe before accepting the position.
