About the Position: The mission of the CCAD is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, chemical, metallurgical and training support.

Duties

Troubleshooting and repair of high and low electrical voltage systems for industrial and related equipment from millivolts up to 480 volts. Install, maintain, and repair electric wiring systems, related switches, distribution panels and outlet boxes, and a wide variety of electrical fixtures, tools and appliances. Inspect, clean, repair, test and adjust equipment. Test circuits and equipment by using voltmeter, ampmeter, wattmeter, megger, thermal imager, and ohmmeter. Work with voltage ranging from millivolts to 480 volts related to plant equipment, building maintenance. Work with aircraft electrical circuitry relating to transmissions, engine test cells, and flow benches.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a Tier 1-Non-Sensitive/Low Risk suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid government driver’s license.
  • This position requires a pre-appointment physical examination and meet established hearing and vision tests.
  • This position requires you to wear a respirator.
  • Position is subject to call out and after hour’s duty for equipment failures or required emergency repairs and storm or disaster recovery.

Subject to heat prostration from ovens, steam equipment, and heat-treating equipment. Danger of falling from scaffold, ladders, catwalks, cranes, buckets, and roofs of heights in excess of 30 feet. Subject to dust, chemical, gas and various fumes, electrical shock, and/or burns. Work requires use of personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, half/full face respirators, air pack, dusk masks, safety glasses, and shoes appropriate to the work are and work performed. Discomfort may be experienced while wearing protective equipment.
