Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-09 level, you must have one of the following:
1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level defined as reviewing documents to identify evidence and/or leads to evidence; conducting background investigations; and documenting interviews.
master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related; the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position
equivalent combination of education and experience
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of both civil and criminal provisions of environmental protection statutes; 2) Skill in negotiating settlements; 3) Ability to conduct interviews and/or interrogations; 4) Skill in written communication; 5) Knowledge of litigation and the effect of investigations on existing matters before the court; 6) Skill in oral communication; 7) Knowledge of business principles, such as accounting and/or finance;
In addition to the experience and/or education described in this announcement, you must also have the following to be qualified for this position: Position requires the ability to fluently read, write and speak Spanish.
