This position is located at U.S. Army Garrison Miami - Morale, Welfare and Recreation, Information, Tickets, and Reservations. Duties

Assist patrons, provide information and complete transactions in all areas of leisure and recreation to include booking and setting up tours. Provide general information of the surrounding area, and other worldwide opportunities serviced by the Travel, Recreation and ITR Office. Responsible for all the administrative and financial suspense, inventories, registrations, Collection of fees, payments petty cash, publicity, and end-of-the-month reports for both the travel and ITR. Receives telephone calls; greets and assists visitors with travel and leisure information on the local area tours offered by the ITR. Responsible for daily bank deposits, DAR, 4082 and other paperwork that needs to be submitted on a daily basis. Performs other duties as assigned.

• A one year probationary period may be required.

• This position requires a work schedule during the hours of operation: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation or entertainment travel and leisure programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. OR Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in a field of recreation or recreation management is qualifying experience. Highly Qualified candidates will have the following: 3 - 6 months experience working in leisure travel or the hospitality industry **Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first.
