Duties
Plans and manages all phases of food service program where dining and catering are a substantial basis of the food operation.
Prepares/supervises the preparation of menus involving both standard and new cooking methods.
Participates in the selection of employees, directs on-the-job-training of new employees, makes duty assignments.
Develops operating budget and data, identifying labor, equipment, and supply costs.
Requirements

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
- This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
- The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
one year specialized experience in managing (in an assistant manager/shift manager capacity) a restaurant, hospitality or bar business, OR
four years of education (120 semester hours completed with 24 semester hours i.e. a major in food industry related coursework) above high school in any field related to the duties to be performed, AND
knowledge of pricing methods and internal controls, AND
possess (or ability to obtain within three months of appointment) a certificate for sanitation in food service.
