These positions are located in the Management Directorate, Office of Chief Information Officer, Systems Delivery Division and Identity, Records, & National Security Division. As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, you will direct, coordinate, and provide oversight and guidance to achieving goals, initiatives and critical work and provide guidance for an IT program or major program segment which has significant impact on the organization.

Duties

Planning, coordinating, and implementing organizational wide process improvement methods and concepts to improve quality of software products. Directing, coordinating, and overseeing work of subordinate supervisors and/or team leaders. Providing expert technical advice and guidance to senior management officials. Participating in meetings, conferences, hearings, and presentations involving problems and issues.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 03/25/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 03/25/2024. Basic Requirements: All applicants must meet the following basic requirements. For all positions, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. GS-15: You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Leading, partnering, and pursuing continuous improvement and results. Providing administrative and technical leadership or supervision of subordinate staff. Collaborating with others to facilitate capacity planning, work in-take, project management, incident management, and workforce management. Developing strategies, plans, and procedures which address IT system lifecycles and portfolio management. Presenting recommendations for adoption of new methodologies and/or improvement of existing IT operations.
