You will serve as a Quality Assurance Evaluator in the Maintenance Management Department of FORCES SURVEILLANCE SUPPORT CTR.

Duties

You will monitor contractor performance at facilities to ensure work is performed in compliance within specifications. You will monitor a contractor quality control program to ensure improvements or corrections are executed. You will provide technical assistance in writing specifications to define customer contract requirements, in resolving problems in performance, identifying and analyzing facility problems and determining material deficiencies. You will inspect operation, maintenance, and installation of the ROTHR system. You will monitor, organize, administer, evaluate and coordinate one or more environmental protection programs for all areas of the installation.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • The work is both indoors and outdoors. In addition to an office setting, incumbent is exposed to temperature extremes, dust, dirt and dampness. Protective device will be required at some work sites.

Qualifications

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Must be fluent in written and oral Spanish. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitoring and reviewing contracts and contractor performance to ensure compliance; 2) Evaluating and coordinating one or more environmental protection programs for an installation; 3) Monitoring and managing new construction, repair and improvement projects while developing requirements in conjunction with the agency Facilities and Financial Managers; and 4) Utilizing knowledge of electronic components and radar systems to inspect operations, maintenance and installation.
