The Architect of the Capitol, Director, Utilities and Power Plant Operations is seeking a dynamic Safety and Occupational Health Manager (Industrial), who will manage the safety, occupational health, and industrial hygiene programs for the Capitol Power Plant (CPP) in an industrial setting that includes steam and chilled water generation and co-generation of electricity.
Duties
The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Utilities and Power Plant Operations to serve as Safety and Occupational Health Manager (Industrial), who will perform a variety of duties related to safety matters.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-13 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.Examples of specialized experience for this position includes:
Planning, developing, administering, evaluating, and coordinating a comprehensive safety and occupational health, hazardous materials, and environmental management program;
Performing work site analysis and risk assessments of hazard processes to determine risk severity and make recommendations; and
Developing, planning and facilitating training exercises.
Education
There is no substitution of education for the required specialized experience.
