About the Position: This position is located in Aurora, Colorado. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Coordinating fraud and abuse investigative activities. Executing anti-fraud/abuse policies and procedures. Monitoring and providing oversight of contractor program integrity activities. Developing and supporting cases for criminal fraud/abuse prosecutions and civil fraud/abuse lawsuits. Initiating and taking administrative actions to enforce provisions of law, regulation and policy.

Requirements

  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: developing reliable audit methodologies/statistical sampling techniques to support allegations; developing or executing anti-fraud/abuse policies and procedures to support investigations; and performing quantitative and/or qualitative analysis of healthcare data to identify patterns of probable fraudulent or abusive practices. . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
