About the Position: AMCOM, US ARMY TMDE ACTIVITY, TMDE SPT REGION 1, EDGEWOOD LAB, ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MD
Duties
Participates in studies and tests to determine limitations of test equipment and functions designed to increase the accuracy and effectiveness of the assigned calibration and repair program.
Maintains liaison with other segments of the US Army TMDE Support Activity (USATAG) and customer needs to insure the most effective and efficient program.
Performs a wide variety of administrative duties such as labor and production, time and attendance reporting; developing performance standards.
Track and report progress of work assignments and request authority to use overtime, equipment, and materials to meet deadlines
Advises customers relative to repair and calibration of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment physical, and any post-employment physicals, as required.
- Business travel/TDY up to 10% of the time will be required.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to Supervise the work of Precision Measurement Equipment Calibrators. Applicants must meet the screen out element to be considered further. To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience in the following: I am able to perform common Precision Measurement Equipment Calibrator Supervisor tasks including: Performing the full range of operations on precision measurement equipment used in a calibration environment; Assisting in unusual situations such as providing guidance on technical problems not previously encountered or to advice on situations which are not covered by established operating procedures; Guiding, motivating, and overseeing the activities of individuals and teams with focus on projects/programs issues. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
