You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MIL) of the CAREER PROGRESSION DIVISON (PERS-80) at NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND

Duties

You will prepare, execute, monitor and report on officer promotion and enlisted advancement selection boards. You will advise and train senior officers and other personnel on selection board law, policy and practices You will brief management on military personnel policies You will coordinate human resources information systems to support an organization's data information needs

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • The employee will be required to work overtime (compulsory): hours other than and beyond normal duty that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

Qualifications

FOR THE GS 11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviews board membership for compliance with law and regulations including technical and administrative accuracy; 2) Trains board sponsors, members, recorders, and other selection board [participants; 3) Serves as selection board technical advisor, both independently and as part of a team including team leader role, in the preparation, execution, re[porting and quality assurance selection boards; 4) Communicates and corresponds with applicants and commands regarding eligibility and missing documentation FOR THE GS 9 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Retrieve an organize promotion and advancement data to develop and provide reports to internal and external agencies; 2) Communicates with applicants and commands regarding eligibility and missing documents; 3) Reviews memberships for compliance with laws and regulations. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
