About the Position: The applicant will have their own office/supply area located at building 53301, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The hours of operation are 8 hours a day, with opportunities for flexing schedules for alternative days off. The exact hours are flexible but must be approved by the supervisor and fall within the Command's core hours of 9 AM and 3 PM.

Duties

Monitors the accountability of activity property book items. Prepares and provides advice, training, and guidance to Hand-Receipt Holders on regulations and procedures governing proper book items. Ensures that non-expendable property is properly tagged, that item is properly identified (in accordance with standard supply practices) and that appropriate hand-receipt is updated. Coordinates and arranges for the delivery of items that can be supplied from inventory. Recommends changes in supply procedure, stockage levels or pooling requirements to maintain an equitable balance between the users needs and requirement for periodic maintenance and calibration. Serves as the Government Purchase Card Holder for directorate goods and services.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • The incumbent will have to obtain and maintain a T-3 Secret Clearance.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics and Supply Chain Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsCustomer ServiceTechnical CompetenceWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
