This position is located at the Standing Rock Service Unit, Fort Yates, ND located on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive administrative management assistance to the Clinical Director and the Clinical Services Branch. This position requires a Bachelor of Nursing degree with a clear and active nursing license.

Duties

Incumbent plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities and capabilities of employees; evaluates work performance of subordinates Serves as principal advisor to the Clinical Director on planning and coordination of professional and administrative functions of the Clinical Services Branch Assists Clinical Services Branch with maintaining accreditation for JCAHO, CMS and other state and federal agencies Assists the Clinical Director with researching and implementing Clinical Standards of Care, Practice Guidelines related to medical care for the Clinical Services Branch.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): General Health Science Series 0601 (opm.gov) General Health Science Series 0601 General Medical and Healthcare Series, 0601 Individual Occupational Requirements Basic Requirements Education Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained. Evaluation of Experience for Grants Administration Positions: For positions at grades GS-12 and above involved in professional work in grants administration, qualifying experience is considered to be experience in grants administration in areas of science, medical and healthcare fields similar or related to the work of the position. Such experience must have involved professional judgment of a kind and level of difficulty and responsibility essential to successful performance in the position to be filled. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-12: one year of full-time specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level that equipped me with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples include: provide supervisory guidance and leadership to management and work collaboratively to develop and implement internal program plans and procedures incorporating goals and objectives of the departments; Anticipates and takes action in planning for potential problems for medical providers; assessing and developing appropriate health care measures for the population served; Prepares, submits, and tracks these documents to ensure the adequate staffing and timely evaluation of and reward for performance. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
